We treat rented accommodations for rodents, mice, rats, bed bugs, wasps, fleas, squirrels, cockroaches, and many other pests. All pesticides are used under COSHH guidelines and if any children or pets are present, advice will be given of any precautions required. Recently had a new ktichen rennovation work done on my home so this caused some infestation of mice in my home which I was not happy about. Called Biopest as I liked the information that was added on their webpage. The technician came & did a good inspection around my home & advised me on the best way to make my home proofed against future infestations. Very refreshing to speak to a company that is honest and not just there to make a quick buck like some other companies. Asked for pest proofing and Eva was great and very honest in that they could do it but it's unlikely to help and why. And referring me to someone for further advice.

From the first Email Ewa was incredible professional and reassuring.
Great customer service all around and very professional. I had my whole flat sprayed twice both time very professional and helpful. Staff were happy to follow up and answer any questions I had. And I know I had lots since I experienced bugs for the first time ever and they pushed me almost to insanity considering with lock down i was stuck home 24/7.

Pest control at its finest!
So I've had a few different issues over the years, ranging from mice to rats (eeek!) to squirrels and over lockdown these traumatic "attacks" have been regular and in some cases persistent.
I've contacted several other pest services but once I spoke to and had a visit from the London team, I've not bothered with any other service providers. From the office team's assessment through to the site technician's prompt and on-time visits, I have not been disappointed.
Whilst most of the other control services focused on resolution, Bioactive Pest Control looked at both resolution and prevention. The technician took his time to understand the problem and the underlying root cause, some of which were glaringly obvious to the other providers but had never been raised.
Also, I have found an attention to detail and conscientiousness, which is above and beyond any other pest service to date. I would heartily recommend for a thorough, professional approach to ridding you of any unwanted pests.
Dealing With An Infestation
Pests and vermin can be a health and safety hazard for the tenets and landlords. Based on Citizens Advice Organisation responsibility for dealing with an infestation depends on few factors such as:
- If there’s anything about pest control in the tenancy agreement, or
- if the home was infested before the tenant moved in, or
- if the problem is being caused or made worse by disrepair, or
- if something that you’ve done or haven’t done has led to the problem.
Responsibilities For Tenants & Landlords
Tenants Responsibilities:
- If your tenancy agreement says that the tenant is responsible, then please inform your landlord or letting agent and contact us. We will work with you and your landlord to treat the pest problems.
- If your tenancy agreement says that landlord is responsible, then tenants should report the problems to the landlord or the letting manager as soon as possible in person or by phone or text. You should also write to them or email them to confirm the details. Keep a record of letters, calls, texts or emails between you and your landlord.
Landlords’ Responsibilities:
- Once the infestation is reported by tenants then the landlord or letting agent is responsible for:
- Fixing holes in the wall or floor that allow rats, mice or other pests to enter.
- Dealing with the with infestations of pests and vermin
Additional Notes For Landlords & Tenants:
- If accommodation is furnished & rented and the problem with pests or vermin was there when the tenant moved in, it’s likely that the landlord is responsible for dealing with pest infestation. The landlord needs to ensure that the rented home is fit to be lived in on the day they let it. If the rented home was let unfurnished, this doesn’t apply to the landlord.
- If there’s disrepair in the rented home that’s either causing a problem with pests and vermin or is making a problem worse, it’s likely that the landlord is responsible for dealing with the pest infestation as part of the repair work.
